Foreword: I wrote this piece whilst taking our dog for a walk in the beautiful fields and countryside where I live. A beautiful warm mid September evening with stunning blue sky. Buzzards calling high above. I often find inspiration from my environment around me. Our planets natural beauty never ceases to take my breath away.
Blue sky stretches away and gone Till the eye can see no more Buzzard calling high above Through high currents soar
The gentle breeze it blows Across the fields around Sounds of life blow my way To my ears they're found
My shadow follows me Watching every move Beauty on all sides of me Discover sights anew
My eyes are open as I walk Drinking in the wonder Of enchanting planet in which I live Our forebears had to plunder
It strikes me again on my simple walk Across this stunning earth So precious below blue atmosphere Do we know it's true worth?
