To The Horizon.

Foreword: This piece is my take on uncertainty. Even as a Christian I worry. I shouldn't..but I do. Part of the human condition I wonder?  A very well known verse in the NIV bible from 1 Peter 5 v 7 says Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. The New Living Translation says Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. I like both versions. There are of course other translations. So in the midst of a global pandemic and not knowing what is beyond my horizon, inspired my words.

To the horizon I gaze Look at the blue above me Breeze it gently blows I stand amazed, just be..

Wonder what's beyond my vision Distant, unseen, far away.. Mind a muddle, not yet clear Revealed to me, another day?

I think, and I ponder along this path I listen for your voice.. In sunshine my clouds are parted Listen closely, find the sense, find the best choice..

Life you see, is a juggling act On its stage I stand in fear.. But listen closely enough I'll know I'll find you near...

For when I think it's all down to me Look around is all I need to do.. See your world, see your word Your promise will pull me through...

To the horizon I still gaze Each step, ever nearer I travel.. Look intently with awe Hope to glimpse your mysteries unravel...
