To See My Face

Foreword: Today I have awoken again in physical pain. However, today there was something different. It has become more apparent and obvious as the day has progressed. Hope. Through my faith in God, this hope has never left me. Sure, there are days where it has disappeared it seemed to the mysterious place where only socks seem to go after being in the washing machine! But, through the simplest of interactions and reminders of Gods love today, he has shown me as obviously as if there were an illuminated road sign stating "Welcome to hope"

Despite the right now, where it may seem hopeless, and as dark as a cold winters morning, God has shown me there is always hope. I just needed to listen, and open my eyes to it again!

In the street to see my face

Why would you know these thoughts which race?

In and out of the corners of my mind

Peeks the darkness determined to define..

In the street to see my face

Why would you know these thoughts which race?

When by his love today I am shown

So obviously I am not alone..

In the street to see my face

Why would you know these thoughts which race?

When today he shouts at me

You're never forgotten or lost to me..

In the street to see my face

Why would you know these thoughts which race?

When on the simplest of walks

The kindest soul stops to talk..

In the street to see my face

Why would you see these thoughts which race?

Through the beauty of your world

Despair and darkness, despatched and hurled..

For in this street you see my face

Your light and hope it shines, displays your grace

For I am reminded in the simplest of ways

That by my side you'll always stay.
