Reign On.

Updated: Dec 16, 2020

Foreword - This piece I wrote following a particularly intense bout of depression. The only way I could think of making it less daunting was to bring it to life in word.

Depression, a recession into

A session of grief

Therein lays no relief

From the darkness

I can't hide from

it becomes a harness

To swing me

in my mind on

Back and forth

I can't hide

From, the incessant to and fro from

Well to ill, intentions

To deny it

If for sale, I wouldn't buy

It, consumes me when it pleases,

No polite friendly tone to rely, on

It goes, and comes, and then eases, to

Mock me from afar whispering my name Dom

I'll see you soon, you know I'll reign on.
