Hottest of Days.

Foreword: I love to be on a beach by the sea. Simply sitting surrounded by beauty in blazing hot weather, my children playing, inspired me to write this piece.

When the mist clears Mile upon mile I see

Sunlight glistens Dances on waves set free

Gentle breeze masks the heat of the day Pup panting in front of me lays

Waves rolling lazily in Caressing shores

Where footprints have been

Sands of time

Blown and scattering away

Along with the breeze

Carrys laughter on bay

Horizon distant

Swallowed away in the haze

Minutes roll by On the hottest of days
