Do You Ever?
Updated: Dec 15, 2020
Foreword: I wrote this piece as a letter to myself in an attempt to make some sense of my darkest week in many years. I make no apologies for highlighting mental health struggles, especially from a mans perspective.
Do you ever want the world to go away? Whilst your matter of grey Screams you have to stay..
Do you ever wonder what you've done? To have a numbness injected Into your alertness of senses Missing your moment to run?
Do you ever feel like you're peering in? Looking over a strangers shoulder Not recognising what you've become?
Do you ever wonder?
If you'll ever discover the moment it all went wrong? And do you ever wonder if you'll ever rediscover The place where you once belonged?
Do you ever think?
That if you no longer blinked You'd spot the missing link? Not miss when it started to crumble?
And do you ever surmise? If your sun will ever rise? Shed light on your darkest of stumbles?
