Steadfast and strong around me you are From day one to numbers beyond I see My sustenance, my strength, enveloping me
Understanding, toleration at times Long distance journey, ours to define
Knowing when to leave me be you do Just enough space around me true
Let me think of what to say Not judge nor jury you, never in my way.
In silence, she sits, she listens Quietly you watch Over me, your brightness Ever glistens
Through the wilderness together we tred Journey started the day we were wed
Constant companion On this adventure we call life
My Helen you are, to me will always be to me The lady beside me My one, my wife.
